生活中我们常会对其他人说：「改天一起吃饭啊～」、「改天来我家玩啊～」究竟这个「改天」若换成英文该怎么说呢？

除了「改天」之外，平常我们在职场上交办工作，或与朋友相约时，也经常讲到「前几天、隔天、未来某一天」，如果想学更多关于时间的英文，那就千万不能错过今天的专栏文章啦！

the other day 前几天

the other day 表示「前几天」，也就等同于 a few days ago ！注意写句子时，一定要使用过去式唷～来看个例子：

I watched Soul the other day and cried my eyes out in the theater.（我前几天去看《灵魂急转弯》，在电影院里面哭得死去活来。）

那么举一反三，the other night 意思就是「前几天晚上」，例如：

A: I played basketball with Aaron Yan at a riverside park the other night.（我前几天晚上和炎亚纶在河滨公园打篮球欸。）

B: Seriously?（真假啊？）

the next day 隔天

再来一个实用的片语，如果你在叙述一件过去发生的事情，「隔天」可不能使用 tomorrow ，而是要用 the next day，因为 tomorrow 只能用在未来式唷！例如：

I climbed Xiangshan with my friends last Friday. It turned out that, the next day, I suffered from DOMS and couldn’t get out of my bed.（我上星期五和朋友去爬象山。结果隔天我整个铁腿，下不了床。）

another time, sometime 未来的某天

如果想要讲「改天，过一阵子」再做某件事，英文中我们会用 another time 或者 sometime。来看个例子：

A: Do you want to go to Ximending after work? I heard that there is a newly opened Japanese grocery store.（你下班后想不想去西门町？听说有一间新开的日本杂货店耶。）

B: Maybe another time. We have confirmed several local cases recently.（过一阵子吧。我们最近有好几例本土确诊。）

另一个情境是你在路上遇到熟人，短暂寒暄要结束对话时这么说：

A: Hey, let’s catch up sometime!（嘿，我们改天出来聚聚吧！）

B: Yeah. When?（好啊。约什么时候？）

A: … I’m just being polite.（…我只是在说客套话。）

someday 总有一天、将来、有朝一日

这个字也是要使用未来式，意思是「总有一天、将来、有朝一日」，通常时间会拉得蛮长远的唷～来看个例子：

A: I will marry Garry Hsu someday!（我总有一天要嫁给许光汉！）

B: Get real.（醒醒好吗。）

some day 指未来「特定的某天」

如果把两个字分开来，some day 则是指未来「特定的某天」唷～比起 someday 来说时间也比较近～例如：

A: Honey, do you remember our wedding anniversary?（亲爱的，你记得我们的结婚纪念日是几号吗？）

B: … Some day in December?（…12月的某一天吗？）
